Dr. Teresa Chanting Sun, DDS, MS, is a specialist in periodontology and implantology at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. She is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Periodontology at National Defense School of Dentistry, Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Sun is a Diplomate of both the American and Taiwanese Board of Periodontology. She obtained her Advanced Education Certificate and Master of Science degree in Periodontology from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, USA. Dr. Sun is a former ITI Scholar (Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, USA), an ITI Fellow, a founding member of the Young ITI Global, and the Communications Officer of the ITI Section Taiwan. She is also chair of international affair of Taiwan Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Sun has authored many peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters related to periodontal and dental implant surgical procedures and digital dentistry. Dr. Sun is recognized as a standout clinician and lectures nationally and internationally. She was awarded the winner of the Europerio9 Periocontest in 2018, the Osteology Case Award in 2020, and the Young ITI Speaker Award in 2021.
