DR. LORETTA CHING



Dr. Loretta Ching is a distinguished dental surgeon with a robust academic and professional background in implant dentistry. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a Minor in Business from The University of Hong Kong, followed by a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the same institution. Dr. Ching further advanced her expertise by obtaining a Master of Science in Dentistry with a focus on Implant Dentistry through an Advanced Education Program at Loma Linda University in California, USA. She received a Certificate in Implant Dentistry from the Academy of Osseointegration and achieved the prestigious designation of Diplomate from both the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry and the Academy of Osseointegration. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Dr. Ching has been a key member of the Aesthetic Dental Implant Centre in Hong Kong for over 10 years. She has also contributed to the community as a locum dental surgeon for Project Concern Hong Kong and gained valuable international experience in Taiwan and Tanzania. Additionally, she served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University, where she taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students in general dentistry and implant dentistry.

Her academic contributions have been recognized through various awards, including the Dental 85 Prize in Elective Studies and the Reaching Out Award from the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund, as well as a 3rd Place Poster Presentation Award at the American Academy of Implant Dentistry's 65th Annual Conference.

Dr. Ching’s master's thesis focused on "Peri-implant bone loss with connection of definitive abutment simultaneous with posterior single implant placement: A 6-month retrospective study." She has published multiple research articles and presented her findings at esteemed conferences, showcasing her commitment to advancing the field of implant dentistry. Her upcoming research will further contribute to the understanding of implant abutment dynamics.
