PROF. PANOS PAPASPYRIDAKOS



Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos obtained both his Certificate of Specialty in Prosthodontics and M.S. degree with honorary distinction from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Papaspyridakos then received his Certificate of Fellowship in Implant Dentistry from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He also holds a D.D.S. degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and a Ph.D. degree from the National University of Athens School of Dentistry.

He is also a fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) from 2009 - 2010 and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics (GNYAP) and he lectures extensively on dental implants and esthetics in national and international dental meetings. Currently, Dr. Papaspyridakos serves as an Associate Professor of Postgraduate Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and an adjunct Associate Professor of Prosthodontics at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health.

Dr. Papaspyridakos has published more than 100 articles and abstracts in international, peer-reviewed journals and has authored book chapters in 10 Implant Dentistry textbooks. His innovative approach to clinical implant research is well cited with more than 6,000 citations and has received international acclaim with multiple educational awards. These awards include the 2022 American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) 1st Prize Award for Best Clinical Article of the Year.

His recent articles include Reverse scan body: The scan pattern aects the fit of complete-arch prototype prostheses in the Journal of Prosthodontics published in 2023, while others include the Eect of dental implant therapy on the preservation of orofacial tissues: A systematic review and meta-analysis (Clinical Oral Implants Research), and the Complete digital workflow for prosthesis prototype fabrication with double digital scanning: A retrospective study with 45 edentulous jaws (Journal of Prosthodontics) published last year.

Dr. Papaspyridakos was also an invited presenter at several events. In 2023, he was invited to the “U PENN NPAW 2023 - Digital workflow for full-arch implant rehabilitation: Pitfalls and Bottlenecks” course, the “NEOSA Study Club - Team Approach for Single-Visit Digital Implant Surgery and Immediate Provisionalization”, and the International Dental Show (IDS) 2023. He maintains his private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Boston, MA and his clinical expertise covers all aspects of Implant, Esthetic, and Reconstructive Dentistry.
