Dr. Winnie Choi received her dental education and completed her specialist training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Hong Kong. She subsequently obtained her PhD from the University of Hong Kong.

She joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Hong Kong in 2011 as Clinical Assistant Professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, where she served in several leadership roles including Assistant Dean (Clinical Affairs), Postgraduate Programme Director, and Undergraduate Programme Director in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She also served as Deputizing Chief of Service in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Mary Hospital.

Dr. Choi is currently Consultant in the Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery at United Christian Hospital, Hong Kong. She practices a broad scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, including oral oncology and microvascular reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, obstructive sleep apnea surgery, cleft and craniofacial surgery, and computer-assisted jaw reconstruction.

She has authored more than 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference abstracts, and is actively involved in regional and international scientific meetings and professional education. Her clinical and research interests include computer-assisted jaw reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, oral oncology, and contemporary maxillofacial reconstructive surgery.
